The 4th edition of the "Veggie Style – The Other Side of the Sandwich" contest is coming, in collaboration with 50 Top Italy.
The fourth edition of the contest highlights the vegetarian version of the sandwich, transforming it from a simple fast food item to a unique creation of taste and quality.
Veggie Style - L’Altra Faccia del Panino is a project conceived by 50 Top Italy, in collaboration with D’Amico, that aims to enhance the ingredient in all its creative and taste possibilities, through the eyes of young talents, in a conscious and sustainable vision of nutrition.
The 2024 edition focuses on the vegetarian sandwich featuring the Cilentan Leccino olive.
The sandwich was initially considered a quick and easy meal that focused more on practicality than quality; however, in recent years there has been an evolution, both in quality and taste.
The delicious recipes have also become healthy and light, and following this trend, the use of vegetable products is becoming more and more frequent thanks to their variety and versatility. The choice of ingredients is wide, and the right flavor combinations can create truly unique, enjoyable, and healthy dishes that celebrate creativity, satisfying the taste buds, but also the eyes, thanks to the richness of colors and textures that nature has to offer. Even when it comes to the beloved sandwich.
We ask the young artisans who will participate in Veggie Style 2024 – The Other Side of the Sandwich to create, with creativity and respect for the raw materials, a vegetarian sandwich that showcases D’Amico Cilento Leccino olives.
Participation: catering professionals (chefs, pizza makers, sandwich shops, etc.) who are under the age of 35 and have proven experience in the field.
Enrollment procedure: From 28/05/2024 to 20/06/2024, you can send your application to info@50topitaly.it containing:
Name
Place and date of birth
Phone number
Curriculum or detailed list of professional experience, with the respective duties performed
High-resolution photo of yourself in a work jacket
Name of the establishment where you work, with the position held
Full address to which we will send any samples
After evaluating the applications, 10 artisans will be selected and will receive a sample of Cilentan Leccino olives from D’Amico company to create their recipe. The admission notification will be sent via email.
Submission of material: The candidate will prepare the recipe and send it to our editorial office at info@50topitaly.it by 08/07/2024:
A video of up to 60 seconds, in MP4 format, with a vertical frame, during which the candidate will tell us about the sandwich they created;
Detailed recipe for preparation included in the Word file you will receive from the editorial office;
Two high-definition photos of the preparation, in horizontal format;
A high-definition photo of the preparation, in vertical format.
Evaluation: At the end of the contest, a jury appointed by 50 Top Italy will evaluate the received works, choosing the finalist preparations.
Final Round: The top three recipes will be admitted to the final round, according to the unquestionable judgment of the jury. The three finalist sandwiches will be examined in person during a final event to be held in October/November.
Winner: The winner will receive a complimentary supply of D’Amico products and a 20% discount on their first purchase. He will also be involved as the company's brand ambassador for a year, through synergistic activities.
