The D'Amico Group, an Italian leader in the food preservation sector with 57 years of history, is proud to announce the publication of its 2024 Sustainability Report. This strategic document formalizes the company's deep responsibility and commitment to an ethical, transparent, and responsible business model, integrated into the three key areas of sustainability: environmental, social, and economic.
The report was prepared on a voluntary basis in accordance with the most advanced international standards, GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) and ESRS (European Sustainability Reporting Standards), anticipating European ESG regulations and reinforcing the company's desire to generate a positive long-term impact.
A Structured Path to Sustainability
The structured path began in 2023 with the establishment of an internal sustainability team and was consolidated in 2024 with two important milestones: the transformation of D&D Italia S.p.A. into a Benefit Corporation (November 23, 2024) and the drafting of the first Sustainability Report of the D'Amico Group, which identifies the ESG commitment through the direct involvement of stakeholders.
In October 2025, the D'Amico Group - D&D Italia S.p.A Società Benefit was also recognized at the fifth edition of the Sustainability Award, promoted by Kon Group and Elite with the participation of Azimut, Open-es, Altis dvisory, and Politecnico di Milano, specifically in the TOP 100 ESG Excellence and TOP 75 ESG Perf categories. The Sustainability Award is an important recognition reserved for those Italian entrepreneurs who have best expressed the ability of Italian businesses to innovate, renew, and activate the country's best energies for such a noble cause.
REFLECTION BY MARIA D'AMICO
“...The art of preserving, for generations... I remember my grandfather Mario and my uncle Francesco telling us, as children, how they started D'Amico together. With commitment, passion, and a lot of determination, they began by processing seafood, then moved on to vegetables, creating what they called ”the art of preserving." A knowledge handed down, made up of care, precise gestures, and respect for good things. A way to preserve the authentic flavor of food and make it available all year round, with the same care, the same passion, and the same desire to bring taste, art, and sustainability to everyone's table..." says Maria D'Amico, Sustainability & Marketing Manager of the Group.
A long-standing commitment
Since our inception, at D'Amico, we have practiced sustainability, perhaps unconsciously, but with great attention to the land, people, and the good of the company. A concrete sustainability, lived in everyday gestures, in the attention to what was produced and to those who made it possible.
This Sustainability Report is a tribute to that commitment. This Sustainability Report reflects our daily work: a story that combines deep roots and a vision for the future, with the responsibility of those who believe that Made in Italy is synonymous with passion, consistency, and respect for the territory.
For us, quality comes from the raw materials, from the agriculture that produces them to the careful processing in our company, right up to the taste and joy they bring to people's tables. Sustainability is our concrete path: made up of responsible innovation, care for the environment, attention to the well-being of our employees and all stakeholders, with constant dialogue with the communities around us.
EVERY ACTION WE TAKE IS PART OF A BROADER PLAN: TO GENERATE LASTING VALUE!
