The D’Amico Group, an Italian excellence in the food preserves sector with 57 years of history, proudly announces the publication of its 2024 Sustainability Report. This strategic document formalizes the company’s deep sense of responsibility and commitment to an ethical, transparent, and responsible business model, integrated across the three key pillars of sustainability: environmental, social, and economic.
The report was prepared on a voluntary basis in accordance with the most advanced international standards, GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) and ESRS (European Sustainability Reporting Standards), anticipating European ESG regulations and strengthening the company’s determination to generate a positive long-term impact.
A Structured Sustainability Journey
This structured journey began in 2023 with the establishment of an internal sustainability team and was consolidated in 2024 with two major milestones: the transformation of D&D Italia S.p.A. into a Benefit Corporation (November 23, 2024) and the drafting of the first Sustainability Report of the D’Amico Group, which identifies ESG commitment through the direct involvement of stakeholders.
In October 2025, the D’Amico Group – D&D Italia S.p.A. Benefit Corporation was also awarded at the fifth edition of the Sustainability Award, promoted by Kon Group and Elite with the participation of Azimut, Open-es, ALTIS Advisory, and the Politecnico di Milano. In particular, the Group was recognized among the TOP 100 ESG Excellence, TOP 75 ESG Performances, and TOP 75 Innovation for Sustainability. The Sustainability Award is an important acknowledgement reserved for Italian entrepreneurs who have best demonstrated the ability of Italian businesses to innovate, renew themselves, and activate the country’s finest energies for such a noble cause.
REFLECTION BY MARIA D’AMICO
“…The art of canned food, passed down through generations… I remember my grandfather Mario and my uncle Francesco telling us, when we were children, how together they gave birth to D’Amico. With commitment, passion, and great determination, they began by processing seafood products and then devoted themselves to vegetables, creating what they called ‘the art of preserves.’ A body of knowledge handed down over time, made of care, precise gestures, and respect for good things. A way to preserve the authentic flavor of food and make it available all year round, with the same care, the same passion, and the desire to bring taste, art, and sustainability to everyone’s tables…” states Maria D’Amico, Sustainability & Marketing Manager of the Group.
A Commitment That Comes from Afar
Since our beginnings, sustainability has been practiced at D’Amico—perhaps unconsciously at first, but always with great attention to the land, to people, and to the well-being of the company. A concrete form of sustainability, lived through daily actions, through care for what was produced and for those who made it possible.
This Sustainability Report is a tribute to that commitment. This Sustainability Report is the reflection of our daily work: a story that brings together deep roots and a future vision, with the responsibility of those who believe that Made in Italy is built on passion, consistency, and respect for the territory.
For us, quality is born from raw materials, from the agriculture that produces them to careful in-house processing, all the way to the taste and joy it brings to people’s tables. Sustainability is our concrete path: made of responsible innovation, care for the environment, attention to the well-being of employees and all stakeholders, and constant dialogue with the communities around us.
EVERY ACTION WE TAKE IS PART OF A BROADER DESIGN:
CREATING VALUE THAT LASTS OVER TIME!
